LAHORE: In a shocking turn of events, Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi conducted a surprise inspection at Said Mitha Hospital, and caught four conjunctivitis-affected doctors operating on a patient.

Expressing his dismay, the chief minister expressed his disapproval at the presence of medical professionals, particularly doctors, afflicted with conjunctivitis while on duty. He regarded this as a serious lapse in healthcare standards and questioned the competence of such staff in providing proper care to patients.

Furthermore, the caretaker CM expressed his disappointment over the deteriorating condition of Said Mitha Hospital. He stressed the urgency of addressing the shortcomings and lapses within the healthcare system.

In response to the situation, the caretaker Chief Minister issued a one-week ultimatum for the rehabilitation and improvement of Said Mitha Hospital. He emphasized the need for swift action to rectify the issues plaguing the institution and ensure the delivery of quality healthcare services to the public.

Additionally, the hospital’s Medical Superintendent (MS) received a reprimand for allowing medical staff with conjunctivitis to remain on duty.
