Friday weather: Mixed conditions expected across Pakistan

WEB DESK: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast for Friday (April 12), detailing varied conditions across the country. Most areas across the country will experience dry weather while a few areas might see the continuation of the spell of rains and overcast.

The capital city, Islamabad, is likely to remain partly cloudy with a chance of wind, thunderstorms, and thundershowers during the night.

Meanwhile, Punjab may experience dry weather in most districts, with evening thunderstorms expected in certain areas like Murree, Rawalpindi, and Multan, accompanied by a possibility of hailstorms.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, partly cloudy skies are predicted, with afternoon wind and thunderstorms expected in various districts. Similarly, Sindh is expected to see partly cloudy conditions, with potential thunderstorms in Dadu, Larkana, and Karachi during the night.

Balochistan, including areas like Quetta and Gwadar, may experience rain and thunderstorms, with heavy rainfall possible in certain locations. Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir are also forecasted to have cloudy conditions with gusty winds and thundershowers during the evening and night.

In an overview, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, South Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and adjoining hilly areas, will see some wind, thunderstorms, and thundershowers. While, heavy rain and drizzle are also forecasted for East/North-East Balochistan, South Punjab, and Lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
