Technical teams have been working since 6:00 AM to resolve the issue, the spokesperson added. As an alternative, the company is providing gas through a 16-inch pipeline to minimize inconvenience for consumers.

However, SSGC has apologized for the difficulties caused by the technical fault.

Due to the harsh weather and now absence of gas has increased the problems of the residents who now have to rely on burning woods or expensive LPG to stay warm.

According to the Met Office, northern Balochistan remains under the influence of dry cold weather, with most districts witnessing cold and dry conditions.

Harsh weather will prevail in hilly areas, while plains are likely to experience gusty winds.
