RAWALPINDI: Reassuring residents of a stable and uninterrupted gas supply during meal times, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd. (SNGPL) has dismissed recent reports of gas shortages and low pressure in Rawalpindi.
A spokesperson from the SNGPL Rawalpindi regional office called claims of widespread issues unfounded and said that consumers are receiving proper gas pressure.
The clarification came in response to media reports alleging complaints of low or no gas in some parts of Rawalpindi.
Following these reports, senior teams from the Distribution and Metering departments were instructed by General Manager Umar Hayat to inspect the situation in the network’s tail-end areas.
Technicians, during the inspections, checked gas pressures at various locations and confirmed that even households at the far ends of the network were receiving a consistent gas supply, particularly during meal times.
The spokesperson emphasised SNGPL’s commitment to providing round-the-clock emergency services to ensure swift resolution of any individual complaints.
