ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan pleading not guilty to the charge sheet against him in the GHQ attack case said that he has no link to the incident as he was already under arrest.
On Friday, Judge Amjad Ali Shah visited Adiala Jail to provide Khan with the case documents. Khan’s formal indictment is scheduled for November 8.
Imran Khan refusing to accept the charge sheet said that he has no link with the GHQ attack case as he was already under detention.
The incident is linked to the widespread unrest on May 9, following Khan’s arrest, which saw attacks on military installations.

According to the challan, which includes 27 charges, suspects allegedly targeted the GHQ gate under the leadership of former law minister Raja Basharat, vandalizing military property and inciting violence.
During the raid, protesters are accused of breaking gates, damaging buildings, and using sticks, stones, and petrol bombs. The accusations also claim that sensitive offices, including the ISI and GHQ buildings, were attacked as part of a broader “criminal conspiracy.”
The challan requested that severe penalties be imposed on the suspects to serve as a deterrent.
Due to logistical issues, former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who is held in Lahore Jail, has not yet received charge sheet, delaying his formal indictment. The court has yet to determine a new date for document delivery to Qureshi and other suspects.
The GHQ attack case has been separated from 13 related cases, with the primary trial to start on November 8. Hearings for the remaining cases are set for November 4.
