ISLAMABAD: The government has declared notifications circulating on social media regarding Eid bonuses for government employees and Eid holidays as completely fake and fabricated.
In a statement, the Ministry of Finance clarified that a fake notification is being circulated on social media, falsely claiming that government employees would receive a 15 per cent bonus on their basic salary during Eidul Fitr.

Finance Secretary Imdad Ullah emphasized that this fake notification, purportedly signed by Section Officer Fauzia Hussain, has caused confusion and misinformation among employees. He said that the notification is bogus and fake.
The notification falsely claimed that federal employees ranging from grades 1 to 22 will be entitled to an Eid-ul-Fitr allowance amounting to 15 per cent of their basic pay.
It claimed that this allowance was applicable across all departments and divisions under the federal secretariat.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Interior spokesperson stated that no official decision has been made regarding Eid holidays, discrediting claims made in another notification circulating on social media.
“The claims about Eid holidays in the fake notification hold no truth, and the government will announce the holidays on time,” the spokesperson added.”
