Govt introduces WhatsApp number for complaints

ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has introduced a social media platform and a WhatsApp number for public complaints, Radio Pakistan has reported.

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Murtaza Javed Abbasi, while talking to the media said that people can now launch their complaints by sitting at home.

The minister said the federal government has also advised the provincial governments to nominate focal persons in their provinces to resolve the complaints amicably.

He said that “Khuli Kachehris” will be held at divisional and district levels. Earlier, the Khuli Kachehris were being held in federal capitals only.

Murtaza Javed Abbasi said that a total of 11,471 complaints were received while 11,280 were addressed and 191 are under process.
