Heart trouble lands Shibli Faraz in the hospital

PESHAWAR: Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Senate Opposition Leader Shibli Faraz was rushed to the hospital late last night after he complained of chest pain. Doctors have decided to keep him under observation for 48 hours.
According to hospital sources, Shibli Faraz was admitted to the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC), where doctors assessed his condition and found it to be stable. However, he remains under strict medical supervision as a precaution.

PIC spokesperson Riffat Anjum confirmed that the PTI leader experienced chest pains following which he received emergency treatment. A team of specialists decided to monitor his condition closely for the next 24 to 48 hours.
Doctors are expected to hold a consultation today to plan further treatment. Hospital sources added that Shibli Faraz had undergone angiography earlier and was already under care at PIC.
