Heat alert: Karachi temperature to hit 35°C


Karachi temperature starts rising

KARACHI: The residents of Karachi will have to endure intense heat as the temperature in Karachi is expected to rise to 35°C, according to the Meteorological Department.

The city has been experiencing intense heat from morning till the evening, as the Met Department has issued a forecast for the next 24 hours.

Eid-ul-Fitr holidays announced

According to the Met Office, the weather will remain hot and dry with clear skies over the next 24 hours. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 35°C, while the minimum may drop to 19°C.

Today, Karachi recorded a minimum temperature of 21°C, while yesterday’s maximum temperature was 35.2°C signalling the intensity of heat in Karachi.

Winds from the west and northwest will blow at speeds between 10 to 25 km/h in Karachi today.

CLOUDY WEATHER IN MOST OTHER PARTS OF COUNTRY

Mainly partly cloudy weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours.

However, rain-wind and thunderstorm may occur at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper and central Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.
