Heatwave continues across most regions, Wednesday intensifies temperatures

WEB DESK: Most regions of the country are bracing for a severe heat wave on Wednesday, with temperatures expected to soar 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal, predicts Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Islamabad and surrounding areas will experience very hot and dry conditions.

In Punjab, most districts will see very hot weather, with Murree and the Galiyat remaining hot and dry. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s plain districts will face extreme heat.

In Sindh, most areas, including coastal regions like Karachi, will be hot and humid. Very hot weather is expected across Balochistan. Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will be hot and dry.

A warning has been issued for Sindh and Punjab, where temperatures will be 4 to 6 degrees Celsius higher on May 22, and 6 to 8 degrees higher from May 23 to 27.

In Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Balochistan, temperatures will be 4 to 6 degrees higher from May 22 to 27.
