Heavy snowfall hits Chitral

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued notice of heavy snowfall in Chitral, located in northern Pakistan.
As per PMD, the heavy snow caused power outages and disrupted communication systems across the region. The Garam Chashma valley is impassable due to snow accumulation, with authorities working to restore connectivity.

The PMD issued weather forecast for region across Pakistan on Tuesday (today). While some regions will experience partly cloudy skies and dry weather, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and the Pothohar region will experience rain with occasional snowfall.
Meanwhile, areas including Dir, Drosh, Kalam, Saidu Sharif, Mirkhani, and Chitral will expeirence rainfall, while snowfall is expected in Drosh, Kalam, Mirkhani, Chitral, and Dir.
Cold weather is expected to hit Leh, Kalam, Kalat, Quetta, Malamjabba, Astore, Skardu, Gupis, and Mir Khani on Tuesday
