Islamabad: The senior echelons of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have reached out to ambassadors from Western nations, appealing for aid on behalf of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), according to sources quoted by Geo News.
In an attempt to garner relief for Chairman PTI, key figures within the PTI leadership, including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Rauf Hassan, and Senator Ali Zafar, have engaged with foreign ambassadors.
Notably, a gathering transpired at the residence of Australia’s High Commissioner in Pakistan several days ago.
During this assembly, the ambassadors from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, the European Union, and the Norwegian Ambassador to Indonesia were present.
Sources reveal that during a breakfast meeting, the PTI leadership beseeched foreign ambassadors to address the circumstances surrounding Chairman PTI’s detention at Attock Jail.

Matters pertaining to the ongoing legal cases against Chairman PTI were discussed, along with a comprehensive overview of the prevailing political landscape and impending elections.
While Shah Mehmood Qureshi refuted the occurrence of the meeting, Rauf Hassan and Senator Ali Zafar confirmed its proceedings, according to the channel.
According to Rauf Hasan, the Central Information Secretary of PTI, the Australian High Commission arranged the breakfast gathering, during which diplomats were apprised of Pakistan’s political milieu.
Senator Ali Zafar expounded that discussions encompassed not only the surge in terrorist activities and the regional environment but also delved into the upcoming elections and pertinent political challenges, fostering a comprehensive exchange of perspectives among the attending ambassadors.
