Islamabad hiking rails closed

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday announced the closure of hiking trails in Islamabad for five days in connection with the Pakistan Day Parade on March 23.

According to a statement issued by the CDA spokesperson, it was stated that in preparation for the Pakistan Day Parade, Trail No. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 will remain closed. To avoid any inconvenience, people should not head towards the trails from March 19 to March 23.

The statement further mentioned that the hiking trails have been closed from 5am to 5pm.

The spokesperson added that after the Pakistan Day Parade, the trails will be reopened for the general public.

Pakistan Day: Islamabad traffic police rolls out traffic plan

Earlier this month, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) revealed their traffic management strategy to facilitate smooth traffic flow and ensure public safety during the March 23 parade and its full rehearsal.

As per an ITP spokesperson, there will be restrictions on heavy traffic entry into Islamabad on several dates, including March 17, 19, 21, and 23, from 12:00pm to 2:00am. These measures aim to ease the movement of parade-related preparations and activities.
