Holiday-weather update: hot and humid, but rain likely

WEB DESK: The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) weather forecast for Tuesday indicates hot and humid conditions across most parts of the country.

In some areas, there is a possibility of rain accompanied by thunderstorms. Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Lower Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir may experience these conditions.

In Islamabad and surrounding areas, the weather will remain hot and humid throughout the day, with potential rain and windstorms in the morning. Punjab will also see hot and humid weather across its districts.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be mostly hot and humid, but there is a chance of wind and thunderstorms in Dir, Swat, Chitral, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Battagram, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Mardan, Peshawar, Kurram, Bannu, and Waziristan.

In Sindh, the weather will remain hot and humid, but areas such as Tharparkar, Umarkot, Mithi, Mirpur Khas, and Sanghar might see rain and thundershowers in the evening or at night.

Balochistan will also experience hot and humid conditions, with a chance of rain and thunderstorms in Zhob and Qila Saifullah.

Kashmir is expected to be partly cloudy with occasional rain, gusty winds, and thundershowers in some areas. Similarly, Gilgit-Baltistan will have partly cloudy weather with possible rain, gusty winds, and thundershowers in a few locations.
