Hot weather predicted for Thursday; scattered rains in the north

WEB DESK: On Thursday, most parts of the country are likely to remain under the grip of hot and dry weather conditions, with only a few regions expected to receive some relief in the form of scattered rain and thundershowers.

According to the latest forecast by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pothohar region, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir are expected to experience partly cloudy weather, accompanied by scattered rain, strong winds, and thundershowers.
Going region by region, PMD predicts that Islamabad and surrounding areas gill het partly cloudy skies. There is also the possibility of rain and strong winds or thunderstorms later in the day.
The weather in Punjab will remain largely hot and dry across most districts. However, areas including Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Rawalpindi, Murree, and Galiyat may see some cloud cover and scattered rain accompanied by gusty winds and thundershowers.
Sindh is forecast to remain predominantly hot and dry as well, with only the coastal areas expected to see partly cloudy conditions. The flood-affected districts in both Sindh and Punjab are likely to continue experiencing dry weather through the week, offering no immediate relief.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to see varied conditions, with partly cloudy weather in most districts. Rain, strong winds, and thundershowers are expected in several areas including Dir, Chitral, Swat, Malakand, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Peshawar, and Bannu, among others. There is also a possibility of hailstorms at some locations.
Balochistan is also likely to experience hot and dry weather across most districts, though partly cloudy skies are expected in the coastal regions.

In Kashmir, partly cloudy weather is predicted, with chances of rain and thunderstorms at isolated locations. Similarly, Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to see partly cloudy conditions, with the possibility of thunderstorms in some areas.
Despite the forecasted rainfall in the north, the overall weather trend across the country points toward continued dry and hot conditions, particularly in the southern and central regions.
