The IBCC has extended the Diploma of Information Technology to a two-year nationwide program, aligning it with Computer Science programs and adding subjects to enhance its educational scope.

The inter board office has formally issued notifications regarding both of these crucial decisions, marking a new chapter in the education landscape of Pakistan.

IBCC Executive Director Prof Ghulam Ali Mallah highlighted that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Boards of Education initiated these developments in response to a proposal.

It is important to note that these decisions will be applicable to all four provinces and the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Boards, ensuring uniformity in educational standards.

Meanwhile, the exams will take place in physical settings with no provision for online examinations, ensuring the integrity and fairness of the assessment process.

These measures introduced by the IBCC mark a step towards a more inclusive, modern, and adaptable education system in Pakistan. The recognition of online home learning and the expansion of the Diploma of Information Technology program will help students access quality education, keeping pace with the evolving educational landscape.
