IESCO announces implementation of relief in electricity bills

ISLAMABAD: Following the directives of the Punjab Government of relief in electricity bills for domestic consumers, Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has also followed suit.

IESCO consumers in twin cities start receiving subsidised electricity bills

This relief of Rs 14 per unit will be reflected in the electricity bills for the months of August and September 2024.

The initiative, targeting households with a sanctioned load of up to 5 kW, applies to those consuming between 201 and 500 units of electricity during these months. The measure is expected to benefit a total of 1,071,632 domestic customers served by the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO).

According to IESCO spokesperson, the delivery of revised bills, incorporating the relief, has already started. Additionally, the due date for the payment of these electricity bills has been extended.

For customers who have already paid their bills in full, the overpaid amount will be adjusted in the September bills.
