ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday fixed a plea for a hearing against the indictment of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman in the Toshakhana criminal case.
The case will be heard by a two-member bench headed by Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and comprising Justice Tariq Jahangiri on August 22.
Earlier the court issued notices to nominated parties, seeking a complete record of the Toshakhana case trial.

The PTI chairman was arrested on August 5, under section 174 of the Elections Act, and was handed a three-year sentence to jail and a five-year disqualification from running for public office. The verdict was handed down by Islamabad Sessions Court Judge Humayun Dilawar.
The court had ordered the Adiala Jail superintendent to receive the chairman, but he was instead taken to the Attock Jail.
On Saturday, the IHC also directed the Attock Jail administration to provide the PTI Chairman with “appropriate medical facilities” and allow him to meet with friends and family.
“He may also be provided with the prayer mat and English version of the Holy Quran,” the court said.
