IHC says transfer PTI Chairman to Adiala, Chairman PTI says he doesn’t want to

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) declared the notification to keep Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman in Attock Jail, in cipher case, null and void. The IHC has also issued a written verdict to transfer PTI chairman to Adiala Jail.

Chief Justice Aamir Farooq issued the verdict saying that PTI chairman should be provided all the facilities in jail to which he is entitled.

The next hearing of the cipher case in the IHC will be held in open court. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) prosecutor told the trial court that the previous hearing was held in camera. Bystanders were removed from the courtroom during the hearing, according to the prosecutor.

However, earlier today, PTI chairman has made a statement in Special Court that he may not be transferred to Adiala Jail. “I have adjusted here in Attock Jail and I will ask my legal representatives to withdraw the petition of transference”.
