IHC schedules bail pleas of Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi for hearing in Toshakhana II case

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has scheduled the hearing of acquittal petitions filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, in the ongoing Toshakhana II case, for October 7.

Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas will preside over the proceedings, marking a critical moment in the case that has remained under legal scrutiny for months. The petitions, originally filed in January, seek the acquittal of the petitioners and also request the court to halt the trial proceedings in the Toshakhana II case.
Both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi facing allegations related to the illegal retention and sale of state Toshakhana gifts.
TOSHAKHAN II CASE CONTINUES
Meanwhile, the hearing of the main Toshakhana II case also continues, with the latest hearing held in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail yesterday. The court is scheduled to resume the case hearing today as well.
Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand will preside over the hearing. Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi will be presented in the courtroom. Their lawyers Zaheer Abbas Chaudhry, Usman Gul and others will also appeared in the hearing today.
Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Special Prosecutors Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi and Umair Majeed Malik will also appear today. Bushra Bibi’s lawyer Arshad Tabrez will complete partial cross-examination on Mohsin Haroon’s statement in today’s hearing.
The hearing of Toshakhana II case was also held yesterday in Adiala Jail. The defense lawyer cross-examined prosecution witness National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officer Mohsin Haroon. Bushra Bibi’s lawyer Arshad Tabrez partially cross-examined Mohsin Haroon’s statement and will complete it today.

Imran Khan’s three sisters, as well as Bushri Bibi’s sister-in-law and daughter were also present in the courtroom yesterday, along with PTI leaders including Senator Ali Zafar, Mashal Yousafzai, and Barrister Saif.
