DG RDA orders strict measures against illegal housing schemes in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: The Director General (DG) of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Kinza Murtaza, has instructed relevant authorities to rigorously enforce the law against illegal housing schemes.

According to a spokesperson from the RDA, the Directorate, acting on the DG’s directives, has intensified its ongoing crackdown on violators of regulations. As a result, FIRs have been filed against 12 illegal housing schemes.

The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate of RDA has initiated legal action by lodging First Information Reports (FIRs) against individuals associated with these illegal schemes.

These individuals are associated with the following illegal housing schemes:

1. Gulshan-e-Kashmir (Asia Housing Scheme) in Mouza Misriot Kollian Chakri Road
2. Rawal Enclave, Rawal Town, and Housing Enclave in Mouza Ping Lar Ranyal
3. Faisal Town Phase II in Mouza Kollian Padpilu Thalian
4. Aman Developer in Mouza Rajar Chakri Road
5. Manan City
6. Multi Garden Phase II
7. Khayaban Iftikhar in Mauza Chahan
8. Real Estate & Builder, Nabeel Block Kohsar Extension F Block, Kohsar Extension, and Kohsar Extension F Block in Mauza Pind Gondal Dhok Sayedan Chongian Taxila
9. Top View City D-17 in Mauza Paswal Taxila Rawalpindi

The spokesperson highlighted that the MP&TE Directorate of the RDA is actively pursuing legal measures against illegal advertisements and marketing of such housing schemes.

It was revealed that prior to filing FIRs, the RDA had issued notices for these illegal housing projects.

RDA has sternly warned violators that any advertisements, marketing, or development activities related to housing schemes, apartment projects, or commercial buildings within the controlled area of RDA are illegal without obtaining the necessary NOC from RDA.
