Imran Khan acquitted in protest case by Margalla police station

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Imran Khan has been acquitted in yet another legal battle. The Sessions Court in Islamabad recently heard a case against Khan concerning a rally staged in support of the Judiciary, which was registered at the Margalla police station.

Legal representatives for the accused, Ghirza Khan and Amna Ali, presented their arguments before the court.
Following the proceedings, Judicial Magistrate Mureed Abbas not only acquitted former chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) but also cleared others including Asad Umar, Raja Khurram Nawaz, and several others associated with PTI.
PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat, expressing optimism over this development, said that Imran Khan would soon be released from any legal entanglements.

It’s worth noting that yesterday, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) suspended the sentences of Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in the Toshakhana reference case as well.
