Imran Khan, others acquitted in Azadi March case

ISLAMABAD: Local Court on Thursday acquitted Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and others in Azadi March case.
Pronouncing a reserved verdict, session court in Islamabad acquitted former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Ali Nawaz Awan, Shehryar Afridi and others in cases registered against them at I-9 police station of the federal capital in connection with PTI’s Azadi March.
40 new committees formed in the National Assembly
Judicial Magistrate Malik Muhammad Imran read out the verdict.
Civil Judge Malik Muhammad Imran on Monday had reserved decision on the acquittal petitions of PTI founder chairman Imran Khan, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and others in the Azadi March case.
Cases had been registered against the PTI leaders and others in 2022 under sections related to vandalism and section 144.
