ISLAMABAD: The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has reportedly agreed to one of the government’s proposals during a meeting held in Adiala Jail.
A PTI delegation led by PTI Chairman, Barrister Gohar, met with Imran Khan, where he recorded a video message meant for his wife, Bushra Bibi, as well as party member, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister (CM), Ali Amin Gandapur.

The meeting took place as thousands of protestors rallied for the release of the jailed former prime minister. Protestors have been defying roadblocks and facing tear gas as they march towards the capital.
Meanwhile, the federal government reported that a police officer was killed and nine others ‘critically injured’ during clashes with the protestors over the past two days.
Imran Khan was barred from participating in the general election held this year, marred by allegations of electoral fraud.
The PTI founder claims that the several lawsuits against him were ‘politically motivated’. Despite a nationwide crackdown, PTI has continued to organise protests.
The capital has been under strict lockdown since Saturday, with over 20,000 law enforcers deployed. Frontier Corps and rangers were also deployed, with the federal government requesting additional law enforcement support from the Sindh government.
The law enforcers were also equipped with riot gear.
The Islamabad city administration recently imposed a two-month ban on public gathering under section 144. A gathering of more than five people is prohibited.
Despite the measures taken, PTI supporters mobilised from the strongholds in KP and Punjab, dismantling roadblocks made of shipping containers.
Clashes intensified late on Monday as protesters confronted security personnel, who responded with tear gas and rubber bullets at a western entrance to Islamabad.

The federal government has cited ‘security concerns’ for intermittent cellular and internet outages. Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, warned that anyone attempting to gather in Islamabad risks being arrested. In particular, he warmed against marching towards D-Chowk the public square PTI aims to occupy.
