ISLAMABAD: The Indian government has blocked the official YouTube channel and X (formerly Twitter) accounts of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The move came after Pakistani media exposed India’s propaganda campaigns, putting pressure on New Delhi’s narrative.
According to defence analysts, the Modi administration is reacting out of panic, resorting to digital censorship following Pakistan’s strong counter-narrative.
DG ISPR had recently revealed evidence of Indian state-sponsored terrorism and false flag operations, which reportedly triggered this Indian response.

Experts noted that the Modi government had already blocked several Pakistani TV channels, journalists, and public figures on social media. Now, digital platforms are also facing unwarranted restrictions.
INDIA BLOCKS PM SHAHBAZ’S YOUTUBE CHANNEL
India has blocked Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s official YouTube channel after his recent address at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul.
According to official sources, the video of the speech was also removed from YouTube following Indian complaints. The platform stated the removal was due to a content violation report from India, but added that the video can be appealed for reinstatement.
In his speech, PM Sharif issued a stern warning to New Delhi, saying Pakistan would respond with “full force” if India attempted to disrupt its water supply.
Interestingly, Indian media also acknowledged the factual and evidence-based reporting by Pakistani outlets on the Pahalgam incident.
Analysts believe truth cannot be silenced, and such moves by India reflect desperation more than control.
