WASHINGTON: Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir on Sunday said India still wanted to create instability in the region and also noted that several terrorist outfits operating from Afghanistan were acting against Pakistan.
“India wants to project itself as Vishwaguru, but practically there is not such thing,” he remarked.
Vishwaguru is the idea of global leader or global teacher. It is a combination of two Sanskrit words: vishwa (world) and guru (leader or teacher)
His remarks referred to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitions to make India a global leader. But the four-day Pakistan-India war has rapidly produced isolation for New Delhi at global stage, as it exposed the tall claims of Indian might.

The chief of army staff was addressing the Pakistani community during his visit to the US — his second within a month. Previously, he had met US President Donald Trump in the White House.
He told the gathering that “Pakistan is the last bulwark against terrorism”.
“There is no sympathy for the terrorists and they would to face justice with full force,” he remarked.

INDIA AND TERRORISM
Field Marshal Asim Munir also dwelt upon how New Delhi is promoting terrorism globally.
He revealed that the involvement of Indian spy agency RAW in transnational terrorism acts was a matter of grave concern at the global level.
In this connection, the army chief cited the examples of the Sikh leader’s assassination in Canada, the issue of eight Indian naval officers in Qatar and the arrest of Kulbhushan Jadhav in Pakistan.

Field Marshal Asim Munir said India resorted to the recent aggression under shameful excuses, which was a serious violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and resulted in the martyrdom of innocent civilians.
“This Indian aggression pushed the region to the verge of a devastating [all-out] war,” said the army chief and added that a mistake made by any party producing a bilateral conflict would have a grave mistake.
At the same time, he said Pakistan had made it clear that any [future] Indian aggression would be responded with full force.
On the occasion, the army chief paid tributes to Trump whose strategic leadership, he noted, not only stopped the Pakistan-India war but also helped ending many wars in the world.

KASHMIR — AN INCOMPLETE AGENDA
In his speech, the army chief also reiterated Pakistan’s stance that Kashmir wasn’t a domestic issue of India and “[in fact] an incomplete international agenda”.
He cited the statement of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to show how important Kashmir is to the country. “Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan.”
