India violates LoC ceasefire; posts hit in retaliation

Pahalgam attack LOC

WEB DESK: Indian forces violated the Line of Control (LoC) ceasefire agreement during the night between April 29 and 30 by resorting to unprovoked firing in the Kiani and Mandal sectors, security sources said on Wednesday.

Indian troops used small arms without provocation, prompting a “befitting response” from the Pakistan Army, which effectively silenced the Indian guns. Several Indian posts were reportedly damaged in the retaliatory fire, including the Chakpatra post in Indian-held Kashmir, the sources added.

“This act of aggression is yet another sign of India’s growing war hysteria,” they said, adding that the Pakistan Army remains fully alert and prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty.

India planning military action in 24–36 hours: information minister

Earlier Information Minister Atta Tarar issued a stern warning, stating that any military action initiated by India would be met with a “befitting reply”. Atta Tarar stated that Pakistan possesses authentic intelligence indicating that India intends to take military action against Pakistan within the next 24 to 36 hours. He stated India accused Pakistan based on “baseless and self-made allegations” related to the Pahalgam attack.

His comment come amid escalating tensions following the Pahalgam attack in Indian-occupied Kashmir, where gunmen killed 26 tourists on April 22.
