KARACHI: Another Indian drone has been intercepted in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Hadeed area on Thursday afternoon as tensions intensified between the two nuclear armed neighbours.
Multiple drone attacks were reported in multiple cities across the country. According to reports, Indian drones were downed near Sharafi Goth and Gulshan-e-Hadeed Link Road in Karachi. The drones crashed following explosions, and police have recovered metallic debris from the scene.
In Lahore’s Walton area, heavy gunfire and explosions were heard again around 12:30 PM on Thursday, following an earlier drone strike intercepted by Pakistan Army in the same area.

Security sources say a drone also crashed near the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, injuring two people. A nearby restaurant building sustained partial damage in the blast. Police teams swiftly reached the site and began investigations.
The DG ISPR, in an earlier press briefing, revealed that India had attempted drone incursions in at least nine cities, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Attock, and Sheikhupura. Twelve drones were reportedly shot down by Pakistan’s forces. The attacks have so far resulted in one civilian death and five injuries, including four military personnel.
Law enforcement agencies remain on high alert across major cities, and search operations are underway to recover further evidence from crash sites.
