Infiltration bid foiled, four terrorists killed: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Four terrorists were killed when an infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Rajgal, Khyber District, was successfully foiled by security forces.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), army troops detected the movement of the group and thwarted their infiltration attempt. Four terrorists were killed during the operation.

Tragically, Sepoy Amir Sohail Afridi, a brave son of the soil from District Khyber, embraced martyrdom after valiantly fighting during the intense exchange of fire.

The ISPR emphasized that Pakistan has consistently urged the Interim Afghan Government to ensure effective border management on their side and prevent the use of Afghan territory by Khwarij for acts of terrorism against Pakistan.

The statement reaffirmed the commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to safeguard the nation’s borders and eliminate the menace of terrorism. Such sacrifices by courageous soldiers further strengthen this resolve.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif lauded the security forces for eliminating four Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in the Rajgal operation.

Expressing grief over the martyrdom of Sepoy Amir Sohail Afridi, the Prime Minister prayed for his eternal peace and extended sympathies to his bereaved family. He reiterated the government and security forces’ dedication to eradicating the threat posed by Fitna al-Khawarij from the country.
