Interior Minister mourns constable’s death caused by violent protestors

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic martyrdom of police constable Abdul Hameed Shah, who lost his life due to violent attacks by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters.

In a statement issued earlier today, the minister conveyed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family of the fallen officer.

Constable Abdul Hameed Shah, who was performing his duty at the time of the attack, was hailed as a martyr by Naqvi, who paid tribute to his bravery and sacrifice. “He has attained the highest rank of martyrdom in the line of duty,” the interior minister said.

Naqvi has directed the Inspector General of Islamabad Police to expedite the investigation and swiftly apprehend the miscreants responsible for this heinous act. “Those who tortured Shaheed Abdul Hameed Shah will be brought to justice,” Naqvi vowed, ensuring the public that no stone will be left unturned in the pursuit of the culprits.

The minister further assured the grieving family that they would not be left alone in their hour of sorrow. “We stand with the bereaved family, sharing in their grief,” he stated, pledging that the family of Shaheed Constable Abdul Hameed Shah will be fully taken care of by the government.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed regret over the martyrdom of Constable Hameed and offered a prayer for the elevation of the martyred officer. The PM offered condolence to the family.

“PTI has always adopted the path of violence under the guise of protest,” the PM said, adding that in the past as well, PTI has attacked the state TV and broke the gate of the parliament. The prime minister directed to bring all the people involved in the incident to justice.
