ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced that the damaged submarine cable has been fixed and there is currently no internet service disruption anywhere in the country.
PTA spokesman in a statement said that the disruption in the AAE-1 submarine cable has been temporarily managed by arranging additional bandwidth, which has been integrated into the system.
Currently, there is no internet service degradation across the country, according to PTA.
Efforts to fully restore the AAE-1 submarine cable are underway, with continuous monitoring of the repair process, the spokesperson said.

According to the spokesperson, the PTA remains committed to ensuring the seamless functionality of all internet services nationwide.
Users had reported internet disruptions which the PTA had attributed to a fault in the submarine cable AAE-1 near Qatar — one of the seven international undersea cables connecting Pakistan for international internet traffic.
