Iran deports 48 more Pakistani migrants

CHAGAI: Iranian border officials on Thursday deported another 48 Pakistani immigrants who had illegally entered the neighbouring country.

Authorities from Pakistan’s border affirmed that individuals deported from Iran were transferred to the anti-human trafficking cell of the Federal Investigation Agency.

Border officials stated that the deportees had intended to illegally migrate to European countries through Iran. The recent deportation brings the cumulative number of illegal Pakistani migrants deported from Iran to 305.

Individuals from Pakistan frequently cross into Iran, harboring hopes of unauthorized migration to Europe in pursuit of better opportunities.
