Iranian FM emphasises early execution of IP gas pipeline project

ISLAMABAD: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has expressed a keen desire to promote and strengthen economic, trade, and mutual relations with Pakistan, emphasizing the advantages of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project for both nations.
Talking to the media after meeting Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Islamabad, he said that the gas pipeline project is seen as advantageous for both nations, offering mutual benefits and strengthening economic ties.
He said that both countries expressed their aspirations for increased trade, aiming to facilitate and expand business opportunities for mutual benefit.
Bilawal holds talks with Iranian FM
The Iranian foreign minister said that the establishment of border markets is anticipated to facilitate trade activities and create ease in conducting business across the border.
He condemned the recent terrorist incidents in Pakistan and expressed solidarity with the nation in its fight against terrorism. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by Pakistan in its efforts to combat terrorism.
During the meeting with Bilawal Bhutto, he said, various matters of importance, including the gas pipeline project and other crucial issues, were discussed in an effective and meaningful manner.
Both nations reaffirmed their commitment to various agreements signed between them, with signatures exchanged on several accords, including those pertaining to the banking system and other financial matters.
Pakistani authorities warmly received the Iranian foreign minister with Bilawal Bhutto expressing gratitude for the excellent hospitality extended by Pakistan.
The productive meeting between Bilawal Bhutto and Hossein Amirabdollahian signifies a commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and advancing economic and trade collaborations between the two countries.
