Iranian President wraps up Pakistan’s visit: vows to remove trade barriers

KARACHI: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi returned home early Wednesday morning after completing his three-day visit to Pakistan.

The Iranian President was seen off by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori and other senior officials at Jinnah International Airport.

Earlier addressing at the Chief Minister’s House in Karachi the Iranian president said no power in the world can spoil the relations between Iran and Pakistan.

“The freedom of Palestine is the priority of the entire Muslim Ummah. The Iranian revolution has not ended yet,” he said.

The Iranian President said both sides are considering joint measures to bolster political, economic, commercial and public relations for the development and prosperity of the people of the two countries.

Dr Syed Ebrahim Raisi said Iran has made significant progress in industry, science and technology and is ready to exchange its skills with Pakistan.

The Iranian president also expressed his resolve to remove trade barriers between Pakistan and Iran.

Raisi was also awarded the honorary degree of doctorate by the University of Karachi.

The Iranian president landed in Karachi on Tuesday after completing his Lahore trip where he visited Mazar-i-Iqbal and met with the province’s governor and chief minister.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Governor Kamran Tessori received the Iranian president at the Karachi airport.
