Islamabad finally gets some respite; clouds cover capital’s sky

ISLAMABAD: After weeks of humidity and heat, Thursday afternoon brought some respite for the capital city and surrounding areas.

According to initial reports, areas such as Barakahu received heavy rainfall, with other adjoining areas, and residential sectors getting light rain with dark clouds.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rains for several areas in the country, along with lighting and thunderstorms in some areas.
