ISLAMABAD: A lion entered a house in the PWD area of Islamabad, injuring a resident on Thursday and creating panic in the residential area.

Wildlife department teams rushed to the spot soon after the incident and shifted the injured person to a hospital.

Wildlife officials have urged residents to stay cautious and immediately report any unusual sightings to the authorities.

The lion reportedly escaped from the Lohi Bher Safari Zoo located behind the PWD area.

This is not the first lion sighting in Islamabad as earlier a lion had been spotted in Islamabad’s Scheme Three, causing panic among locals.

LOHI BHER PARK DENIES REPORTS OF LION ESCAPE

The Islamabad Wildlife Department has dismissed reports claiming a lion escaped from Lohi Bher Wildlife Park.

Park officials said all animals, including lions, were safe inside the facility. “The enclosure is secured with three locks, leaving no chance of any animal escaping,” the administration clarified.

The department added it remained committed to the welfare of animals and the safety of visitors, urging people not to spread unverified information.
