Islamabad Police recovers child kidnapped from Centaurus Mall

ISLAMABAD: The three-year-old who was kidnapped from Centaurus Mall in Margalla police station jurisdiction has been recovered by the Islamabad Police in a short time.

The female kidnapper involved in several cases of child kidnapping was arrested as well. The police officials said that the suspect is being interrogated and astonishing revelations are expected.

The rescued child was handed over to his parents. After the child was recovered, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTS) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) talked to the parents on a video call. Police sources said that the parents were overjoyed to see the child and paid tribute to the Islamabad Police.

Islamabad Inspector General (IG) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi reached the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) office to meet the child. He congratulated the DIG, SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, CTD SSP, and Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) SP.

IG Rizvi also congratulated the CIA in-charge and the team, along with all the officers involved in the recovery of the child and the arrest of the kidnapper. He also announced cash awards.

Police officials said that the child was traced with the help of modern technology including Safe City cameras, and human resources.

IG Rizvi said that the Islamabad Police team is very professional and hardworking. “My team solved dozens of important cases in the last one year in a very professional manner. We will continue to serve the citizens with the same speed and the same passion,” he added.

IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said that the public is requested to cooperate with their police.
