ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police has initiated a pioneering initiative to provide driving licences directly to residents’ doorsteps using modern technology.

Under the directives of Islamabad Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and SSP Traffic Sarfraz Work, three specially equipped vehicles have been commissioned to facilitate the issuance and renewal of driving licences, learner permits, and replacement licences across Islamabad.

These vehicles are equipped with modern amenities including two counters, laptops, UPS backup, a generator, and a printing system, ensuring efficient and hassle-free processing for applicants.

The initiative particularly targets special groups such as students of federal educational institutions, colleges, universities, public parks visitors, persons with disabilities, and individuals above the age of 70, providing them with convenient access to essential driving documentation.
