Islamabad traffic police to start door-to-door services

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has directed the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) to launch the initiative dubbed the “Doorstep Policy”.

According to an ITP spokesperson, the ITP will pioneer a digital van as part of this effort, with the objective of providing citizens in Islamabad with convenient access to all travel-related services and driving licenses right at their homes.
Another initiative under this mobile service for public facilitation project has come in the form of issuance of traffic learner permits to students of Dr. Akbar Naizi Teaching Hospital.
SSP Traffic Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, who is the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) of Islamabad, stressed the importance of prioritising the delivery of all services related to driving licenses directly to citizens at their residences.

He said that individuals aged 18 to 70 can acquire their learner permits through the Digital Smart van, while those aged over 70 can make use of these services by contacting the helpline at 03111101915.
