Jail staff sent me back without letting me meet Imran Khan: Zartaj Gul

FAISALABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former minister Zartaj Gul expressed a diehard wish to meet the party founder Imran Khan in jail and disclosed that she has gone to Adiala Jail several times for meeting but the officials sent her back every time without letting her meet the former premier.

Talking to reporters after appearing before the Duty Judge of the District and Sessions Judge Javed ul Hasan Chishti in Faisalabad in the May 9 vandalism case.

The court ordered Zartaj Gul to be involved in the investigation and extended her bail till May 4, 2024.

Talking to the channel, Zartaj Gul said she wanted a meeting with the founder of PTI Imran Khan in jail and she had a strong belief that one day, her wish would be fulfilled.

Criticizing the poor performance of the provincial government of Punjab, Zartaj Gul said that checking the rotis on the tandoor is the job of the magistrate or the assistant commissioner, not Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
