Jews are not allowed to establish a state on Arab land: Maulana Fazl

ISLAMABAD: In a recent address, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman talked about the establishment of the Palestinian state, arguing that Jews should not be allowed to establish a state on Arab land.
The JUI-F chief talked about the importance of recognising the plight and genocide of the Palestinians. He also talked about maintaining a steadfast stance against the occupying forces – Israel.

Speaking at a gathering, Maulana Fazl highlighted the sacrifices made by Palestinians in persevering the Haram al-Sharif, also known as the al-Aqsa mosque.
He said that the Palestinians’ struggle was a testament to their resilience and commitment to their undying cause.
Maulana Fazl condemned the genocide occurring in Palestine. He also expressed solidarity with the Palestineand their just cause.
“We assure the Palestinians that our struggle is with you”, the JUI-F chief declared. He called on the rulers of the Muslim world to take decisive action in addressing the ongoing crisis,
Fazl pointed out that the All Parties Conference (APC) had urged Pakistan to adopt ‘practical’ measures in support of Palestine.
He noted that the South Africa took the issue to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), signaling an international support for the oppressed people.
The JUI-F chief also cited a recent UN resolution condemning Israeli atrocities against the Palestinians. He framed it as a huge step in a global response to “Israeli terrorism”.
Maulana Fazl’s remarks come on the anniversary of the Gaza War that began on October 7 last year, when Hamas attacked Israel.
The occupying forces then invaded the encircled, akin to open-air-prison that is the Gaza Strip. In a twelvemonth, Netanyahu’s hardliner government killed over 42,000 innocent Palestinians, among them 15,000 children.
It then escalated the violence to occupied-West Bank and then bombed Lebanon, opening a second front to the war.
Over a thousand Lebanese have lost their lives with Israeli military using Hezbollah as an excuse.
Maulana Fazl stated that the history of Muslims was filled with sacrifice and struggle against oppression. He draw parallel between past struggles by early Muslims and the current situation in occupied Palestine.
He criticised Israeli actions, claiming that Jews should not be allowed to establish a nation-state on Arab land.
He also lambasted other international incidents, mentioning that Israel barred the United Nations’ Secretary-General from entering its territory.
The JUI-F chief expressed worry over remarks by former United States (US) president and current presidential nominee, Donald Trump.

Fazl brought up the former US president’s remarks on regarding the potential military action against Iran’s nuclear facilities. He declared it as part of a larger narrative of aggression in the region.
The JUI-F concluded his address by remarking the “the enemy of humanity is our enemy”. He said his party advocated for justice and support for the Palestinian cause.
