Journalist killed, nine injured in Khuzdar explosion

KHUZDAR: An explosion rocked through Khuzdar on Friday afternoon, killing journalist Siddique Mengal while injuring 9 others.

The attack on the car of Khuzdar Press Club President took place on a day when the world is celebrating World Press Freedom Day.

According to the Station House Officer Khuzdar Ghulam Mustafa Rind, two motorcyclists are also among the casualties, raising the death toll to three. SHO said that emergency services rushed to the scene and the injured have been transported to the hospital.

Investigation into the explosion is underway.
