Judges vehicle targeted in Tank, two security personnel martyred

TANK: Two security personnel were killed and two others injured in a terrorist attack on a convoy carrying three local court judges in Tank, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Friday.

According to police, the attack occurred near Bhugwal on the D.I. Khan Road. The judges were unharmed in the incident.

The attack ensured into a fierce gunfight between the policemen and the terrorists which prompted the authorities to rush in more police reinforcements from Tank and DI Khan.

The deceased security personnel have been identified as Abdullah and Abdus Samad, belonging to South Waziristan District.

The police shifted the bodies of the martyred cops to District Headquarters Hospital in Tank.

Police have launched an investigation into the attack and are pursuing leads to apprehend the perpetrators.
