Judicial Commission meeting reviews appointments for high courts

ISLAMABAD: The Judicial Commission of Pakistan, chaired by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, convened today to deliberate on the appointments of permanent Chief Justices for the Lahore High Court and the Sindh High Court.

During the session, the Commission examined the credentials and qualifications of several distinguished judges for these pivotal roles. For the Lahore High Court, the names under consideration included Justice Shujaat Ali, Justice Ali Baqir Najafi, and Justice Alia Neelam. Each candidate’s judicial acumen and experience were thoroughly reviewed to ensure the selection of the most suitable individual for the position.
Simultaneously, the Commission assessed the potential appointments for the Sindh High Court, evaluating the merits of Justice Shafi Siddiqui, Justice Nimatullah, and Justice Salahuddin. These candidates were scrutinised for their legal expertise and ability to uphold the integrity and efficacy of the judicial system.
