Karachi braces for intense heat

KARACHI: The metropolitan city Karachi is expected to remain extremely hot and humid today, with chances of rain in the surrounding areas, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
The Met Office said Karachi’s temperature may rise up to 38°C, while due to high humidity, it could feel like 45°C.
Currently, the temperature in the city is 32°C but is being felt as 37°C.

Humidity levels are at 70 per cent while winds are blowing at 10 km/h, the department added.
Meanwhile mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours.
However, partly cloudy weather with dust/thunderstorm-rain is likely at isolated places in North-East Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and South-East and Eastern Sindh.
