Karachiites to get relief from heatwave today

ISLAMABAD: Karachiites will get relief from a heatwave as the Mercury will likely go down from today (Friday) after sea breezes calm the scorching heat while rain is also predicted in some upper parts of the country.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), “Continental air prevails over most parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave is likely to enter western parts of Balochistan from tonight and likely to affect upper parts of the country on Friday.”
Rain-windstorm and thunderstorm is likely at isolated places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, north Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and Pothohar region during the next twelve hours.
However, gusty winds and windstorm are likely in south Punjab and upper Sindh during evening and night.

Islamabad fourteen degrees centigrade, Lahore twenty-one, Karachi twenty-nine, Peshawar nineteen, Quetta seventeen, Gilgit eleven, Muzaffarabad fifteen and Murree twelve degrees centigrade.
