Khurram Dastagir among former NA members disqualified by ECP

WEB DESK: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has disqualified 10 former National Assembly members, seven former Sindh Assembly members, and seven former Balochistan Assembly members for failing to submit their asset details for the fiscal year 2022-23. Former power minister and NA member Khurram Dastagir is also amongst the 10 barred from contesting elections.
Among other disqualified National Assembly members are Mohsin Nawaz Ranjha, Muhammad Adil, along with Rana Muhammad Ishaq, Kamaluddin, Ismatullah, Samina Matloob, Naseeba, Shamim Ara Panwar, and Rubina Irfan.
According to the ECP’s ruling, they will remain ineligible to contest elections until they submit their financial records.

Former MPA Sindh Adeel Ahmed, Hizbullah Bhugio, Arsalan Taj Hussain, Arif Mustafa Jatoi, Imran Ali Shah, Ali Ghulam, and Tahira have been disqualified.
While in Balochistan, former MPAs Mir Sikandar, Muhammad Akbar, Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, Abdul Rasheed, Abdul Wahid Siddiqui, Mir Hamal, and Bibi Shaheena have also been declared ineligible.
The ECP has ruled that these individuals will remain disqualified until they submit their pending financial disclosures.
