Khuzdar bus attack: student death toll reaches eight

Khuzdar bus attack

QUETTA: Two more students of the Khuzdar school bus attack passed away on Sunday, taking the total number of children who died in the tragic incident to eight.

In a statement released by the security sources, the demise of the students was confirmed. “Two students, Sheema Ibrahim and Muskan succumbed to their injuries. Eight innocent lives have fallen victim to terrorism in Pakistan by Fitna-ul-Hindustan,” security sources said.

In total seven female students and one male student are among those martyred in the attack, security sources said.

On the first day of the suicide attack on the bus, Sania Soomro of the sixth grade, Hifza Kausar of the seventh grade, and Aisha Saleem of the tenth grade were martyred. Students Haider, Malaika and Sahar Saleem lost the battle of their lives during treatment.

“The cowardly attack in Khuzdar was planned in the terrorist state of India,” security sources said, adding, “The blood of these innocent children will be taken to account from Fitna-ul-Hindustan and their Indian masters.”

In a press conference by Director General (DG) of Inter Public Service Relations (ISPR) Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif and Interior Secretary, the proofs of Indian involvement in terrorist activities in Balochistan were shared.

India has been consistently involved in terrorist incidents in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and is targeting Pakistan through proxy organisations, the officials told media.

Pakistan said that the Khuzdar attack was also planned in India and carried out by its proxies in Balochistan. According to officials, the attack is part of a conspiracy to spread instability in Pakistan.
