IGP Khan highlighted that among those neutralised were several high-value targets, and a significant number of militants have also been apprehended. The announcement comes against the backdrop of ongoing security challenges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, where terrorist activities have threatened the safety of citizens in recent months.
Providing insight into the security situation, IGP Khan noted improvements in areas like Dera Ismail Khan and the merged districts. He affirmed the commitment to continue pursuing militants through intelligence-based operations.
Acknowledging the sacrifices made by law enforcement in the fight against terrorism, IGP Khan stated that 41 police personnel have lost their lives this year in the line of duty. He also addressed concerns regarding the security of foreigners, emphasising efforts to enhance their safety following recent incidents, such as the tragic attack in Shangla’s Besham city that claimed the lives of five Chinese citizens.
