Kissan Ittehad announces nationwide protest from May 10

ISLAMABAD: On Sunday, President Khalid Khokhar of the Kissan Ittehad Association Pakistan announced nationwide protests beginning on May 10, starting from Multan.

Khokhar during a press conference said that the mafia made money by smuggling wheat. We will expand the protest movement nationwide; protesting is our only resource. $1 billion in wheat revenue has been lost abroad.

He further said that farmers are currently facing immense hardships. Despite working round the clock, farmers are left with nothing. The agony farmers are enduring cannot be adequately expressed. It has been repeatedly suggested to establish an independent agricultural commission.
